The Economic Resilience Program, supported by Vrutti Bangalore and Vittol Foundation, has been successfully implemented to enhance financial stability, health awareness, skill development, and social transformation among coastal communities. This comprehensive initiative is helping build stronger, more resilient communities.
Key Highlights:
✅ 200 male fisherfolk were supported with life jackets and a collective fund of ₹1.7 lakh.
✅ 100 women fish vendors benefitted from a revolving fund of ₹2.3 lakh to strengthen their businesses.
✅ 13 health camps provided care to 1,555 individuals in coastal communities.
✅ 3 Self-Help Groups (SHGs) received interest-free loans of ₹25,000 each to start businesses, supported by 14 trainings in financial and SHG management to improve leadership and banking access.
✅ 740 boat laborers and owners underwent emergency response training to learn lifesaving skills.
✅ 300 adolescents participated in Advika training on health and rights, while 22 girls were trained in tailoring to create new income sources.
